Medical Informatics New York is a educational and professional organization of physician medical informaticists that seeks to:
Advance the role of the physician informaticist as a leader of clinical information system initiatives at New York-area medical centers
Advance the role of medical informatics as a tool to improve the delivery of clinical care and support national efforts for the electronic health record
Facilitate collaboration among colleagues to develop best practices
Develop and maintain the relationship between New York-area physician informatics leaders and between such leaders and local and national societies
Share ideas and exchange experiences between New York-area physician informatics leaders
